4 Book Club

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

I mentioned it in passing here that I'm interested in starting a book club type thing on le blog. I'm such an advocate of reading. It closes off your mind to all your stresses and lets you escape to a totally different world. I love getting wrapped up in characters and story lines. There isnt much better than a good book. Iv had some trouble keeping up with my reading since having P and then keeping up with blogging but I really need that to change so I think by incorporating my reading into my blogging it will help me focus on both.

Here is what I think will happen.

Ill chose a book and assign a certain number of chapters a week. At the end of the week I'll post my thoughts on what Iv read thus far and whoever else wants to partake in the club can do the same on their blogs and we can all link up back here. That way we can easily float from blog to blog and read each others reviews and comment. I personally am drawn to fantasy/fiction books so I think a lot of my books may go in that direction but I'm totally up for recommendations from you guys!

Feel free to shoot me an email if you are interested or have any suggestions!

Right now Im reading my Sookie Stackhouse novel but Im almost done so as soon as I finish I will pick the book to start the club!

Giddy!

Oh I'd love to participate! I'm obsessed with reading - currently I'm reading LOTS of Stephen King and Dean Koontz. But I have access to a library so I can get any books you suggest. I'd love to see what books you suggest....

Oooh, I am so into this idea. From what I have read on your blog so far, we seem to have similar taste in books. My sister recommended a new book called Divergent by Veronica Roth. It is going to be a trilogy and is apparently awesome. You can read about it here: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8306857-divergent

Have you read the Hunger Games series? I loved that and I hear Divergent is along similar lines.
