holy moly I think that was the longest break iv taken from the blog since I started posting regularly. I just needed to step away from the computer for awhile and it was good. Great even. But now I'm back! Well I may not be really really back till Monday but I am alive so that is probably great news for you right?  If you have been following me on twitter (@thepenutgallery) or instagram (abussard7) then you know Iv been busy crafting and painting for Peytons big girl room! I even have a pretty fun DIY coming up soon so be on the look out! 

Its getting colder around here winter is right around the corner and so is Thanksgiving! YUM! There is going to be a lot of house cleaning, crafting, baking and cooking around here this next week and I'm pretty excited. I love Thanksgiving and all the food that comes along with it!

Today we are off to dance class and the farmers market and then Im not really sure what we are going to do the rest of the day but it's looking like a nice one! What do you all have planed for this lovely Saturday?

1 Cha-cha-cha changes

Oh haayyy elephant in the room? It's ok we can talk about it... I got a new banner whhaatt!? Do you love it? I do! I loved my old one too but I just sometimes need a change so I asked my favorite banner maker and awesome blogger friend Jess to give me a face lift and she delivered! Do you need a new banner? button? how about an invitation, business card or anything else photoshop related? Jess is your girl. She is awesome to work with and she is so talented!

In other news:

* I FOUND MY CAMERA! woot woot! Now I can't find my adaptor bahahah but it's somewhere around here. As soon as I find it ill upload the lost pictures. Thank you St Anthony!

I love blogging. I love my blog and the fact that it is an on going record of my life. I love that Peyton will be able to look back on it and read about everything we did before she could really remember. I love reading other blogs. I love getting inspired by them. I love meeting new people through blogging and making real friendships with some seriously amazing and talented people.
Sometimes, however, the blogging world can be a little overwhelming. It's so easy to get wrapped up into the popularity contest of it all. To turn friends into competitors. Sometimes I look at other blogs and think 'wow these people have their lives so put together. They know exactly who they are and they are so care free.' I see vegan bloggers and eco conscious bloggers. Religious bloggers, and health bloggers. Fashion bloggers, and business bloggers.
And then I think 'where do I fit in?

I eat meat, but sometimes I will willingly chose to have a veggie burger. 

I believe in God, but I don't really know what religion I classify myself as. 

Im on a mission to lose weight, but Im not perfect about my health decisions. 

I love fashion and even have a degree in it, but I dont have the time to be my best dressed all the time. 

I'm a mom but I don't always blog about my kid. 

So where does all that put me?

I guess that puts me here, at The Peanut Gallery. A blog about my life, whatever that may entail. Im not perfect, far from actually, and I do get easily overwhelmed. I think if I dont get a post up I will lose followers and then I say to myself 'self, who cares?' If people want to read my blog that is awesome. I love knowing that what I write may influence someone how other blogs I read influence me. But if they dont like it? I they chose to unfollow me? Who cares? If what I have to say isn't what they are looking for then who am I to make them stay? Why would I want them around anyway? For numbers? That just seems silly.
I don't really know the point of this post, maybe to serve as a personal reminder to myself to just keep doing what I doing. Keep doing what makes me happy and keep this blog for the reasons I started it. A creative outlet and a happy place. To try my hardest not to get wrapped up in blogging politics or as Bekah put it the mean girls of the blogging world. And maybe as a message to anyone else who may read this blog and get that overwhelming feeling every now and then. Just remember why you started blogging in the first place.
Dont blog for numbers, blog for you. Blog for those who count on you but don't let them intimidate you or pressure you. And beyond anything else make it fun.

0 Just Some Stuff

Yesterday my mom, P, my sister, and I went to my Aunt GiGis to visit with my Nanny before she had to go back home to North Carolina.







Then after we left there we stopped at Lost Dog for some lunch YUMMMY







We went to the grocery store and then relaxed the rest of the day. It was a pretty good Sunday.

In exercise news~

Today was day 4 of P90 and it was yoga. My least favorite so far. Not that it was hard it was just long and boring.
Don't get me wrong I usually love yoga but Tony just isn't cut out to be a yogie instructor. My sister is MUCH better!




In weather news~

It's supposed to be 79 today! P is rockin her new shorts from baby gap. I'm not sure what we are going to do today but it will for sure involve the outdoors

0 Random Assortment of Things

First off~ I think I'm finally content with the blog.. for now. What do you guys think?

Ok next~ Last night I had a BBC meet up.

For those of you not familiar with BBC It is Baby Center. A community that I am addicted to to say the least. I have met three girls from BBC so far and love them all! It's a great way to meet and talk to girls your age who have kids and are in similar situations. There are chat boards for just about everything you can think of when it comes to parenting. If you haven't joined I suggest you do it is fabulous!

Continuing on

I met up with Taylor last night and we had dinner at Chili's. She has a sweet little 5 month old named Camden who was way more well behaved than my heathen child. It was a lot of fun and hopefully we can get together again soon!












In Peyton news~

She found my sisters old wood rocking horse in the basement so we had to bring it up. She sits on it and throws one hand up and says "yehaw!"
