5 Wedding Stuff
This past Saturday Mikey, P and I went to check out our wedding venue because believe it or not Mikey has never seen it. Weird that a man would be so uninterested and impartial to where we would be getting married right? He isn't the wedding planning enthusiast to say the least. But he did want to check it out so we made the little trip (10 min. down the road) to the venue. It was the perfect fall day and the leaves were still {mostly} on the trees so we could get a grasp as to what it may look like on the big day. Peyton adored the place which is always a plus and Mikey really liked it too. Winning. Here are just a few {bazillion} pictures I took!

Yesterday I went with my parents to visit possible venue #3 and 99.9% sure this is it! We loved everything about it especially the location. It's literally 10 min. down the road. Perfection. Also the price and the venue its self are pretty great. So here are some pictures
The venue is a historical property in Arlington so it has a lot of land and fields
Here is the front of the house. Its going to be an outdoor wedding so the house will be used for cocktail hour and the candy bar and bathrooms and stuff but everything else will be outside.
I think the candy bar will probably go here
the side porch is where the first bar will be for cocktail hour
this is the bridal room. It's pretty big and has a ton of huge mirrors and it's own bathroom. I love this part!
this is where the tent and ceremony will be. It's a pretty flat open field which lots of creative leeway
The woman said this is where most people get married but I actually really hate it. It's very randomly placed and its not what im looking for. I think we may hang some fabric up and make this the photo booth.
I love this little nook and I this little nook and its probably where we will end up having the ceremony... obviously minus the bench
After checking that out we stopped at a local little Parisian cafe it was so cute and delicious
So yeah I think we finally have a place which is exciting because now I can start with the details. I busted out my wedding planner last night for the first time in a while and starting organizing :D yay!

I got a phone call last night from White Swan Bridal and my wedding dress is in! I have been doing AWFUL on the whole diet exercise thing the past two weeks (post about this to come) but now im going to starve myself from now till Wednesday so I can fit into it (jkjk.. well.. kinda) Im so excited/nervous and I realllly hope it fits because I bought it in January and iv lost about 7 lbs and toned up since then so if it needs to be let out I think Ill be really discouraged. Bah ok well yay! Here is the link from when I bought my dress if you are interested. They made some changes but I won't be posting a picture of the final product till the big day. EEE! I'll be sure to let you know how it goes!
PS Im in the midst of making an appointment to go look at this venue. It's literally right down the street so Id get a country resident discount and Iv heard nothing but great things about it. Im pretty excited so again Ill let you know how it goes!

This weekend we visited wedding venue option # 2 you can read more about option #1 here if you missed it.
One of my dads friends that he works with just bought a house for his brother in Manassas (about 35 min. away) and he offered it up for the wedding. It has a HUGE property. Were talking HUGE. There is a pond and a field and a deck with a pool. It's pretty awesome. The only thing is that they are still closing on it and it hasn't been worked on in months and needs a lot of work. Like a lot. So first let me share some pictures and then Ill list some pros and cons.

love these arches
I would want to be married out there
Pros
No rental fee
Ample set up and take down time
Free creative range
Easily holds 150 people
Arches
Pond and field
Cons
It's kinda out in the country so transportation to hotels might be an issue
It needs a lot of work and we aren't sure that it will be done in time
If it rains we will need to tent it and that would call for a mighty large tent
We would be responsible for everything ie catering, tables, linens, etc
Im so up in there air. I thought it was going to be for sure between these two venues but the more I think about it the more I think I need to keep looking. My mission this month is to pick two or three more locations and visit them. Hopefully by the end of the month we will have one set in stone.
On the way home we stopped and had breakfast at IHOP. Yum
And so tomorrow starts another week hope you all has a great weekend!
Did I mention how much I love your votes?
