It's finally time to get this show on the road! As mentioned before  today is the official starting day of my very first book club book! Yay! So here is how it's going to work.

Read chapters 1-8 by next Monday ~ it's only 76 pages and I read 1-5 in one night. It's a pretty easy read. You can obviously read on if you want but if you are doing a review be sure not to give things away past chapter 8!

Keep a notebook by your side ~ in case you want to jot down something of interest or a page number you want to refer back to. I will answer/ask some questions that you can feel free to respond to and notes may help you to remember important details!

I will probably schedule my post Sunday night to go up Monday morning. You can either do the same or wait to see what I say then respond to that. Remember you don't have to have a blog to take part just shoot me an email!

So I think that's pretty much it... pretty self explanatory. I don't know that anyone is actually going to partake but if you are send me an email please! abussard7@gmail.com if not I will just make it a book review type thing... although I may give more away than a regular review so you may not want to read my posts if you plan on picking this book up! Ill put a PSA at the beginning of every post JIC!

I hope to have some people join in! I think it could be fun!

Happy Monday friends!

Immmmm back!

So turns out nothing was wrong with my lap top at all. I brought it in and it worked fine... figures. Oh well at least it didn't cost me any mulah.

So let's get back on track. I mentioned that I was starting a book club and that I got the first book for it. It's called 'Call me Princess' by Sara Blaedel. Like I said before it's a murder mystery! I usually am drawn to fantasy books and it's really rare for me to go to anything else but I thought I needed to change it up a bit and I'm huge on Investigation Discovery so my next best route was murder! I'v read the first few chapters just to make sure it wasn't a total flop and I'm definitely intrigued. So here is the deal. If you want to take part I'm making the official starting day next Monday where I will assign chapters. You can take notes while you read or whatever you feel like. I will make a list of a few topics/Q&A that came to mind while I read on the following Monday Sept. 5th. If you are partaking you can either just respond via commenting, or write your own blog post answering the same questions I addressed or whatever you feel like talking about, or you can e-mail me and I will compose a post of emails I get. This means you do NOT have to blog to join in! Anyone is more than welcome to take part. The more the merrier! SO if you don't blog, again, just email me abussard7@gmail.com and I will post your responses. I'm really really excited! And if no one takes part then I'll just make it more of a book review thing and pretend that's what I meant to do all along :)

any takers?!

I mentioned it in passing here that I'm interested in starting a book club type thing on le blog. I'm such an advocate of reading. It closes off your mind to all your stresses and lets you escape to a totally different world. I love getting wrapped up in characters and story lines. There isnt much better than a good book. Iv had some trouble keeping up with my reading since having P and then keeping up with blogging but I really need that to change so I think by incorporating my reading into my blogging it will help me focus on both.

Here is what I think will happen.

Ill chose a book and assign a certain number of chapters a week. At the end of the week I'll post my thoughts on what Iv read thus far and whoever else wants to partake in the club can do the same on their blogs and we can all link up back here. That way we can easily float from blog to blog and read each others reviews and comment. I personally am drawn to fantasy/fiction books so I think a lot of my books may go in that direction but I'm totally up for recommendations from you guys!

Feel free to shoot me an email if you are interested or have any suggestions!

Right now Im reading my Sookie Stackhouse novel but Im almost done so as soon as I finish I will pick the book to start the club!

Giddy!
