Immmmm back!

So turns out nothing was wrong with my lap top at all. I brought it in and it worked fine... figures. Oh well at least it didn't cost me any mulah.

So let's get back on track. I mentioned that I was starting a book club and that I got the first book for it. It's called 'Call me Princess' by Sara Blaedel. Like I said before it's a murder mystery! I usually am drawn to fantasy books and it's really rare for me to go to anything else but I thought I needed to change it up a bit and I'm huge on Investigation Discovery so my next best route was murder! I'v read the first few chapters just to make sure it wasn't a total flop and I'm definitely intrigued. So here is the deal. If you want to take part I'm making the official starting day next Monday where I will assign chapters. You can take notes while you read or whatever you feel like. I will make a list of a few topics/Q&A that came to mind while I read on the following Monday Sept. 5th. If you are partaking you can either just respond via commenting, or write your own blog post answering the same questions I addressed or whatever you feel like talking about, or you can e-mail me and I will compose a post of emails I get. This means you do NOT have to blog to join in! Anyone is more than welcome to take part. The more the merrier! SO if you don't blog, again, just email me abussard7@gmail.com and I will post your responses. I'm really really excited! And if no one takes part then I'll just make it more of a book review thing and pretend that's what I meant to do all along :)

any takers?!

I mentioned it in passing here that I'm interested in starting a book club type thing on le blog. I'm such an advocate of reading. It closes off your mind to all your stresses and lets you escape to a totally different world. I love getting wrapped up in characters and story lines. There isnt much better than a good book. Iv had some trouble keeping up with my reading since having P and then keeping up with blogging but I really need that to change so I think by incorporating my reading into my blogging it will help me focus on both.

Here is what I think will happen.

Ill chose a book and assign a certain number of chapters a week. At the end of the week I'll post my thoughts on what Iv read thus far and whoever else wants to partake in the club can do the same on their blogs and we can all link up back here. That way we can easily float from blog to blog and read each others reviews and comment. I personally am drawn to fantasy/fiction books so I think a lot of my books may go in that direction but I'm totally up for recommendations from you guys!

Feel free to shoot me an email if you are interested or have any suggestions!

Right now Im reading my Sookie Stackhouse novel but Im almost done so as soon as I finish I will pick the book to start the club!

Giddy!

Potter that is...

If you know me, or have read my about me section, then you know I have an undying love for said Potter. I started reading the books when I was in 5th grade. Every single year since 5th grade I have had a new book to look forward to reading and then the movies started coming out and I had a book and or a movie to look forward to. Now, as most of you know, the final movie is about to hit the big screen and that's it. I used to go to all the premieres but I realllly hate the crowds, the people who clap, cheer and 'oooooOOOOoo' during movies. I want to turn around and shoot them all, or avada kedavra their asses if you will. So the past few movies Iv waited a few months before going to see them. But now.... now I want to put this movie off forever. I don't want it to be over. I'm one of the biggest book nerds you will ever meet. I get tied to characters and stories and I feel like I know them. From chapter one all the way to the end my eyes were wet with tears in the final book. Tears of sorrow, joy, anger, regret, and then in the end I cried because I knew it was over.
It probably sounds dumb, especially to those of you who have never read the books, but 13 years of my life I have followed this story. 13 years I grew to know these characters. That is a long time especially when Im not even 23 yet. I know I can go back and read and reread them all, which trust me I already have, but it's not the same...

I love to read and I have read some really amazing books and series in my life but I dont think KNOW there will never be another series out there that will effect my life as much as this one did. CHEESY but true... so true.

There really isn't a point to this post except to vent to myself and the rest of the interwebz about my current heart ache. I'm excited to see the new movie and I know Ill leave the theater with a happy heart as I reminisce on all the good times JK has given me and for that I thank her.
